# Notifications

Farside supports notifications for important account and bot events.

Current user-facing channels:

* Email
* Telegram

## Email

To use email notifications:

1. Open Settings or Account.
2. Add your email address.
3. Verify the email from the message sent to you.
4. Enable notification preferences.

If the email is not verified, email notifications may not be available.

## Telegram

To use Telegram notifications:

1. Open Settings or Account.
2. Start the Telegram connection flow.
3. Open the Telegram link.
4. Press Start in Telegram.
5. Return to Farside and confirm the connection.
6. Enable notification preferences.

You need a Telegram account. Farside handles the Telegram connection flow for you.

## Notification types

Notifications may include:

* critical bot errors
* safe mode alerts
* weekly summaries
* required account or platform messages where applicable

Notifications are helpful, but they do not replace monitoring the bot after launch.

## If notifications are not received

Check:

* wallet/workspace is correct
* email is verified
* notification preference is enabled
* Telegram connection is complete
* Telegram was not disconnected
* the event should actually trigger a notification

Contact support if everything looks correct and notifications still do not arrive.
