* A bot can fail to start, stop running, or enter safe mode.
* Fees, funding costs, slippage, and partial fills can affect results.
* Paper trading and backtests can differ from live trading.
* Past performance does not guarantee future results.

## Safer first steps

* Start in paper mode.
* Keep leverage and position size low.
* Use conservative settings while learning.
* Read readiness warnings before launching.
* Watch the first running session closely.
* Pause or stop the bot if behavior is unclear.

## Stop and review if

* you do not understand a setting
* the wrong wallet, mode, account, or venue appears selected
* a readiness check fails
* funding or approval is incomplete
* the bot is in safe mode
* live trading is about to affect real funds and you are unsure
